Guidelines for Online Interaction in the Prison Moon Inn on Yahoo Chat

Unlike other generic chat rooms where people express themselves in a chaotic manner and have several conversations going at one time, the PMI stands apart from the confusion when the following guidelines are observed.

If the guidelines below are ignored, or you are unaware of them, you will be asked to review them before returning. If you choose to ignore them, you will find yourself ignored.

• Images (Avatars) are not allowed.
We are adults and express ourselves with words. You want hieroglyphics, go back to ancient Egypt.

• Colored type is not allowed.
What we see when a person types in color is "pay attention to me! My words are more important than yours, or I wouldn't need to stick out like a sore thumb." Like images, if you need to express yourselves in colored or bold type, we most likely won't care what you have to say. This is not to say we frown on individualism, it's what you say that counts, not how you say it.

• Expressions.
If you type "u" in place of "you" or "r" in place of "are", you appear ignorant. As stated above, we are all adults here, we actually aren't here to save a second by shortening words to kindergarten status. While expressions like "lol" for "laughs out loud" and "wb" for "welcome back" are tolerated, it shows more respect to the others in the Inn if you take that extra second to type what you mean... what is the hurry? We also do not use the expressions W/we and Y/you and A/all, as it denotes equality. Gor is not about equality, those terms are used in a BDSM room, they have no place in the PMI

• Status denotations.
Those who are free are recognized as such by the capitalized first letter of the screen name. Slaves are recognized as such when there is no capitalization in their name, except for perhaps the letters following their name, denoting the initials of their master/mistress. Example, Jimeleri is free, mysty_A is not. If you enter without a cap, you will be seen as slave, and treated as such.

• Whispers.
Whispers are not allowed without first requesting a whisper in channel for all to see. This is for the protection of the slaves and the FreeWomen, both of whom know their place and are willing to please, but do not need to be harassed by outsiders and those just looking for cyber fun.

• Gor is not fair and strangers are enemies. All are welcome in the Inn, until they are not.
